Subject: Album sessions
Actually, meg/gem, these are the actual tracks from the album, just a different mix. Same guitar solo, drum breaks, etc. Brent is all over these recordings, just not his voice.

Subject: Breathing Room
These are inaccurately labeled as "rough mixes" but really constitute studio rehearsals.

These tracks sound vastly better than the original recording due to the absence of Mickey & Brent.

Why did they ever put Mickey back in the band is beyond me. As for Brent the man whom never knew too much playing is also exposed as a player with zero sensibility or taste.

Oddly enough I do not understand why Weir threw away these alternate lyrics for 'Stranger'. The narrative is much better than what he settled on.

Subject: Worth it for "Lost Sailor"
This track is really good. Better than the released version, in my opinion.

Who said the Dead could not be a studio band? Lost Sailor is quite good.
